Zi Webb is a South Devon-based multidisciplinary artist, with a focus on capturing human life through textiles.
During their degree at Art Academy, Zi worked and lived on a narrowboat along the Thames, splitting their time between the waters and the studio. They work across a variety of topics, covering abuse, mental health, disabilities and trans identities, not wanting to define themselves by one niche. They returned to the sea to complete their degree, surrounded by many a bird call - motifs of which feature heavily in their art, alongside the impact of fragmented selves, detachment and isolation.
Their current body of work is inspired by medieval tapestries and traditional romantic concepts of finding comfort in an ever-industrialising society.
They are currently completing a BA in fine art at Art Academy London.
